Aussie Qbee Signature Wooden Spreader

Protect the Potency. Spread the Goodness. Did you know that metal spoons can affect the delicate enzymes in raw Manuka honey? Treat your premium honey with the respect it deserves. Crafted from natural, sustainable wood, our Signature Spreader is designed to preserve the bioactivity of your MGO honey while offering the smoothest spread possible.

Why You Need This Tool:

  • Metal-Free Purity: Keeps your Manuka honey 100% reactive and raw. No metallic taste, no oxidation risks.

  • Sustainable Choice: Plastic-free, biodegradable, and built to last.

How to Care:

  • Hand wash only with warm water.

  • Do not soak for long periods.

  • Rub occasionally with olive oil to keep the wood nourished.

Perfect Pair: Best used with our Morning Ritual Pair (MGO 150+ & Honeycomb) or as a serving tool for your next cheese platter.

F.A.Q

Access Useful Information and Clarifications in our FAQ Repository.

Q1. Is a higher MGO number always better? What grade is right for me?

A1: Higher MGO means higher potency, but the "best" grade depends on your specific goal:

  • MGO 150+: Ideal for daily energy, cooking, or a healthy sugar alternative.
  • MGO 300+: Recommended for daily immune maintenance and general wellbeing.
  • MGO 600+: High-potency grade. Best for targeted use (e.g., sore throats, digestive health) or as a premium gift.
  • MGO 1000+: Ultra-premium medical grade strength for maximum bioactivity and recovery support.

Q2. What is the actual difference between regular honey and Manuka honey? Why is it so expensive?

A2. The difference lies in the active component. Regular honey is primarily a natural sweetener. Manuka honey, however, contains Methylglyoxal (MGO), a unique compound with scientifically proven antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that do not exist in table honey.

The price reflects its scarcity and harvest difficulty. Manuka flowers bloom for only 2–6 weeks a year, and bees must harvest the nectar within this short window in specific, remote native bushlands. You are not buying sugar; you are buying a bioactive functional food.

Q3. Is Manuka honey safe for daily use?

A3. Yes, Aussie Qbee Manuka Honey is 100% natural and safe for daily consumption. It’s free from additives and preservatives.

Q4. How is it different from regular honey?

A4. Manuka honey contains higher levels of methylglyoxal (MGO), giving it unique antibacterial properties that regular honey lacks.

Q5. Can I trust the quality of Aussie Qbee Manuka Honey?

A5. Absolutely. Our Manuka honey is sourced from trusted Australian beekeepers who adhere to the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

Q6. WA residents can buy?

A6. No, this product will NOT be accepted into Western Australia (WA) by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) (WA). Please check import conditions with the DPIRD before purchasing bee products if you are in Western Australia.

Q7. Is it true that I shouldn't use a metal spoon?

A7. This is a common myth. High-quality stainless steel spoons will not affect the MGO activity of Manuka honey. However, we recommend using a wooden or plastic dipper for aesthetic reasons and to prevent 'double-dipping' contamination, ensuring your honey stays fresh longer.

Q8. Is it safe for children or pregnant women?

A8.

  • Infants under 12 months: DO NOT CONSUME. Like all raw honey products, there is a risk of infant botulism as their digestive systems are not yet fully developed.
  • Children over 1 year & Pregnant Women: Yes, it is safe and beneficial. However, if you have specific allergies or gestational diabetes, please consult your healthcare professional first.

Q9. Isn't New Zealand the home of Manuka honey? Why choose Australian?

A9.

  • While New Zealand is famous for marketing it, the Leptospermum (Manuka) plant is actually native to Australia, where we have over 80 species compared to New Zealand's one.
  • Australian Manuka honey is produced in pristine, pollution-free environments and often offers higher MGO potency at a more competitive price point. We adhere to the same rigorous testing standards to ensure 100% purity and activity.

Q10. How can I trust the quality and MGO rating?

A10. We prioritize transparency. Every batch is independently tested at accredited laboratories to verify its MGO levels. Our labeling adheres to strict Australian guidelines, ensuring that the number on the jar (e.g., MGO 500+) is the minimum guaranteed amount of Methylglyoxal present at the time of testing.
